People often wonder wonder what they can do to help me get the word out about my two books. Without being a completely self-serving capitalist, I am asking for your help in letting people know about a book they (or someone they know) might be interested it. Here's what you can do to help.
1. Buy the book. For yourself, or for friends and family members who like Star Wars. It is unlike any other Star Wars gift you can give. It’s educational, and fun providing a unique, unusual, and interesting perspective on the Star Wars saga.
2. Tell others about the book. It’s also a great gift for those who enjoy activities with sword fighting – theater, history, sports, Renaissance fairs.
3. Send e-mails telling others about the book or my website – www.ShimmeringSword.com. It’s changing every week with something new to discover. Information about me, the new Star Wars TV shows, on sword fighting-related activities. Future updates include personal essays, writings, and links.
4. Post something on your blog or website. Or maybe you have a Facebook or MySpace page. Just a mention or a link to my website would help get the word out about my new book. I’ve seen people mention their thoughts about the book. Others have listed Shimmering Sword as one of their favorite books. If you want to add me to Facebook as a friend, do a search on "Nick P Jamilla."
5. Create something online. For those writers who would really like to take the time to help, it would be nice to have an entry on Wikipedia, or its Star Wars version – Wookipedia. I’ve found that the Wikipedia websites require a bit of knowledge in order to create new entries. So I only advise it for those familiar with their posting rules. Shimmering Sword refers to the lightsabers of Star Wars. It's also the title of my first book.
